Jasmin
Safadi

is a Viennese and Jawlani Syrian choreographer and creative
on Gadigal and Bidjigal Land known as Sydney.
From developing her/their artistry independently, she/they has/ve gone to study and develop her/their creative practice in Johannesburg, Zimbabwe and now Gadigal Land known as Sydney. Her/Their visions, tools and interests span interdisciplinary across art forms from movement, choreography, direction, media, to art.
With her/their work, Jasmin Safadi wish/es to create timeless, emotional impact and worlds to immerse oneself in by touching on artistic, spiritual, philosophical and sociopolitical topics, inspired by elements of dreams, presence, struggle, heritage, vulnerability, and hope. Her/Their distinctive nuance is the personally stylized movement and perspective on life within a black and white setting, inviting audiences into other realms.
As a growing artist, she/they hope/s to meet and collaborate with artists, companies, organisations and communities that also fight for collective liberation and beyond, while carving forever lasting paths of art, connection, inspiration and change.
